Marriage and Family Therapist Intern
I have joyfully served children, youth & families, since 1981. I have worked in offices, homeless shelters, treatment centers, schools, group homes, hospitals, and the homes of many families. I truly believe in meeting people where they are. I believe that liberation comes from the relationships we form with people. My main goals in psychotherapy are to witness and appreciate your stories, as well as notice, validate and amplify your strengths, resources and values.
My specialty is working with families who are struggling through difficult transitions. I am especially skilled at helping youth make successful transitions into adulthood. Individual adults navigating difficult life transitions may also appreciate my creative & relational approach.
I have a Master's in Counseling Psychology & Drama Therapy from California Institute of Integral Studies, where I currently teach Community Mental Health. I have a deep understanding of the harmful effects of trauma and am passionate about the liberation of all humanity.
